The Sycamore Triangle Association (STA) advocates on behalf
of the home owners, residents and businesses in the Sycamore and
Tamalpais Park areas of Mill Valley, CA. These areas are bounded by
Camino Alto Avenue, Miller Avenue, East Blithedale Avenue and Millwood
Street.
We strive to:
Advocate for an integrated approach to watershed management that considers the needs of people, property and wildlife
Interact with local, county, state and federal agencies to ensure effective flood mitigation
Support immediate and long-term actions to mitigate hazardous flooding conditions
Educate the public regarding prevention, mitigation, dangers and causes of flooding
Collaborate with neighbors and to foster a strong sense of belonging and connectedness within our group.
The STA is organized and managed by a steering committee composed of concerned neighbors who live or work in the Sycamore Park and Tamalpais Park neighborhoods affected by recent flooding. The steering committee rotates leadership responsibilities between our volunteer members.

Experienced community organizers recommend that the best way to be ready for the next disaster is to get to know your neighbors and to exchange contact information. "Organized neighborhoods are often safer, more aware of local issues requiring citizen attention, and more prepared for emergencies or disasters," per the City of Mill Valley website.
We recommend that all households in the Sycamore Triangle area join in the Association Contact Tree by clicking the Act Now! logo to the right. As part of registration, you can volunteer to be your local block captain. Block captain volunteers will be contacted by the leadership team regarding their responsibilities at a later date. Please note that all information in the Association Contact Tree is to be held confidential and used only for the designated purpose explained on the first page of the sign up site.
